Spiritual Thoughts + Scriptures

A scripture that I love is 1 Nephi 19:7, it says “ For the things which some men esteem to be of great worth, both to the body and soul, others set at naught and trample under their feet. Yea, even the very God of Israel do men trample under their feet; I say, trample under their feet but I would speak in other words‒‒ they set him at naught, and hearken not to the voice of his counsels.”

I recently came across a scripture in Ephesians 3:17-19 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

My favorite talk was "Recommended to the Lord" by Ronald A. Rasband. Elder Rasband the importance of keeping an active temple recommend because it is a symbol to us and the Lord that we are living true to the promises we have made with him.

"Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do." 2 Nephi 32:3

These two amazing people have helped me so much in my life. They have helped me through thick and thin. They were there in my roughest days and in my happiest. And I know that they will be there for me for ever and ever.

A scripture that reminds of me this is Isaiah 55: 8-9. 8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

It has been a miracle-filled week! Being a missionary brings so much joy to me each day.

In my studies this week, I read the account of when Christ appeared to the people on the ancient american continent, found in the Book of Mormon. 3 Nephi chapter 11, verses 9 and 10 say:

Jesus often used those very words "arise and walk" when he healed people and forgave them of their sins.
