Why I chose to serve.

I had always wanted to serve a mission. Both of my parents had served missions and I felt inspired by their example. My mom served in Japan, shortly after her mother passed away, and my dad served in Texas a few years after he himself was baptized. I wanted to follow their example, I wanted to be like them.

I grew up learning about God and Jesus Christ, when I was in high school I decided to do the spiritual work for myself to find out if God was real and if Joseph was his prophet who was called to restore the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the fullness of the Gospel.

I chose to serve a mission because of what I have gained from the Gospel of Christ. Though both my older siblings have served and lots of friends encouraged me to do so and supported me, the real reason I chose to serve a mission is because of Love and Joy!

When I was around 12 years old I attended a fireside where a lady who had served a mission was telling us all about her experiences, what she learned and how she grew so much!

I chose to serve a mission for a few reasons. One of them is because as I grew up as a teenager, I had a lot of friends that made poor choices that came with bad consequences.

I chose to come on a mission, because I love to help and serving others to come closer to God and Jesus Christ and help others find answers to their life questions, and how the gospel can help and bless them in their life.
