Elder Ayrison Haynes - How Covid Affected Me

It all stopped! Life just stopped. When the lockdown took place in England, time stopped. The only way my companion and I could keep track of time was by breaking our tasks for the day into half an hour blocks. I remember walking down, what once used to be busy streets, in the city of Romford, and seeing not a single person except for my companion. Our contact with others was cut to zero. I really missed seeing people that I knew, and people that I had never met before. I got to know my companion much better, but most importantly, this time allowed me to get to know my Heavenly Father better. I started praying more sincerely. I started reading my scriptures with the intent to learn how God spoke to me. I took time to slow down and listen. I started to hear the way God speaks with me. This pandemic has helped me to learn the most important language, the language of the spirit of God.
